Competency-Based Learning Would Benefit Special-Needs Students

Competency-Based Learning and Promotion (CBLP) would benefit special-needs students due to the privacy it allows. When all students are progressing through learning standards at their own pace, students of the same age will not remain at the exact same level of learning in every subject.

Special education students will move privately at their own pace with the help and accommodations they need, subject by subject, benefiting just like everyone else from personalized CBLP. They will avoid embarrassing stigma while privately meeting the learning goals in their IEP.  We need to change the  one-size-fits-all system in our schools.

Seems like these kids may be the ones that need the change the most. Good job!
